Our story

As with all things, it takes a village to bring an idea to life. The Food Truck Siargao is a shared idea made real: gourmet fries with island-sourced ingredients served from a yellow truck with a happy, welcoming vibe, and served in cones of banana leaves. “Our concept is able to speak multiple languages, from the menu, the team, the music, and the Truck itself,” says Saar Geva, CEO of the Happiness Group that runs The Food Truck among other island ventures around the world.
Gourmet fries include potato, squash, eggplant, cauliflower, zucchini, pineapple and broccoli. Each visit to the Truck can be a totally different experience because of the various combination of sauces (Beetroot, Curry, Garlic Aioli, Tzatziki, Ketchup, Pickled Lemon, Olive Paste, and Green Onion) and toppings (Greek, Parmesan, Egyptian, Spicy Herbs, Pickled Onion, Pico de Gallo, and BBQ).

About the Chef
Phillip Gal Tau, who developed the menu for the Truck, started cooking at the very early age of 12. Phillip was born and raised in Israel. He juggled culinary school while training in various dining establishments that exposed him to different cuisines before starting his own venture in Siquijor and then Siargao island, Philippines.
